Evaluations on Adults Charged With a Sexual Crime
Dr. Stacey Benson has been evaluating individuals charged with a sexual crime for over 10 years.
These evaluations typically include a comprehensive review of all available records, psychological testing, scoring of various instruments used in the determination of ones risk to reoffend, and clinical interview.
The final report outlines the individual's diagnosis, their estimated risk to reoffend (Low, Moderate or High) and provides recommendations regarding the most appropriate treatment.
Parental Capacity Evaluations
BPS provides evaluations on parents who are involved with Social Services, or who are in custody disputes. These evaluations are not custody evaluations per se, in that no final determination is made regarding who is the more fit parent, however they are comprehensive evaluations that assess mental health issues, alcohol and drug concerns, parenting strengths and weaknesses etc.
Pre Employment Screening
BPS has conducted evaluations for individuals who have applied for Homeland Security jobs, or other sensitive employment. We also have provided mental health clearance evaluations for military persons seeking to be deployed overseas.
Diagnostic Consultation
BPS provides a full range of psychological testing to aid in the diagnostic process.
Gastric Bypass Pre-Surgery Evaluations
BPS provides the mandatory psychological evaluations for individuals who are about to have Gastric Bypass surgery. These evaluations include psychological testing and a clinical interview to assess for specific areas required by insurance.
Pre Screening Evaluations for Couples Looking to Adopt
BPS conducts evaluations for couples who are in the process of adoption. We have contracts with adoption agencies and also work with individuals.
School Violence Assessments
School violence assessments are conducted with children and adolescents who have made direct or indirect threats against school faculty or other students. The purpose of this assessment is to identify the degree of risk that the student poses to carry out the threatened violence and additionally to provide recommendations to the school and the student’s family about how to respond to the threat. These recommendations are made with the primary goal of protecting the school community; however, the academic rights of the student who made the identified threat are also recognized as being critically important.
